About
Tyr Energy
Tyr Energy was formed in 2002 to provide comprehensive management
services to financial owners of distressed power assets. Tyr
Energy was among the first to offer a full suite of asset
management, risk management and capacity services to third
party owners. The Company provided asset management services
under a multi-year contract with the Liberty Electric Power
project in Pennsylvania and for the Boston Generating facilities
in Massachusetts.
Owned by ITOCHU
Corporation, a $51.6 billion international trading conglomerate
and it's U.S. based subsidiary, ITOCHU
International, Inc., Tyr Energy formally shifted its strategy
away from third party services in 2006 and now focuses on
owning equity interests in North American independent power
assets and providing asset management services to facilities
in which it is an owner. Tyr Energy represents the North American
cornerstone of ITOCHU Corporation's global IPP strategy. Worldwide,
ITOCHU owns interests in independent power facilities in Saudi
Arabia, the Philippines and Japan in addition to the United
States.

the "Projects"

development opportunities. Tyr also owns a 49% membership interest in American Renewables, LLC, a project development company headquartered in Boston, MA specializing in the development, construction and operation of biomass-fueled generation facilities.
